The Analysis

The functional analysis helps to understand the function that the system is designed to complete. First the overall system function was defined, then it was broken into several sub-functions so that each sub-function could be understood and that their interactions with each other could be analyzed. Inputs and outputs were also identified and their interaction with the sub-functions analyzed. The breakdown of the functional analysis as well as a visual representation of the analysis can be seen below:
